SUNSURI PHUKET review: hillside rooms and a connected pool complex

Five connecting pools and generous room layouts make this a resort stay above Nai Harn, with buggy journeys and nearby external works to consider.

A room higher up changes the daily route

SUNSURI PHUKET, Nai Harn Beach sits on a tropical hillside near Nai Harn lake, with spacious rooms and a substantial connected pool area. The elevated setting makes room position important: a higher outlook can come with repeated buggy journeys. The hotel also publishes a notice about independent external construction nearby, which deserves attention alongside the leisure facilities.

The official accommodation page describes escorting guests to rooms by buggy. That is a useful clue to the physical layout rather than just a welcome service. Buildings spread up a hillside create a different room-to-pool routine from one compact block on flat ground, especially for guests who expect to go back and forth several times a day.

Kristy24, reviewing an August 2026 Superior stay on Trip.com, had previously stayed near the pool and returned to a room higher up. They enjoyed its size and view but found themselves relying frequently on transport to reach it. This account is especially useful because the same guest liked both stays while noticing how room position changed the experience.

Large rooms, with different kinds of space

The official room overview gives both Superior and Deluxe categories an area of 53 square meters. Superior emphasizes a large balcony and lakeside outlook; Deluxe is described on an upper floor with views over pool, lake and part of the sea. Choosing Deluxe therefore concerns position and outlook as well as furnishings, rather than simply buying a larger published area.

Grand Deluxe is listed at 63 square meters with a spacious balcony and freestanding bathtub. That offers a different internal bathing setup from a decision based only on the view. The accommodation range also includes private pool villas, which should not be confused with rooms using the main resort pool complex.

The Ocean View Family Suite page describes 106-square-meter interiors with separate living and bedroom areas, an L-shaped sofa and dining table. Its extra-long balcony has sunbeds and a sofa, giving it a substantial outdoor sitting area in addition to the living room. The bedroom and bathroom can open into one space, with the freestanding bathtub visible.

A September 2026 family-suite guest on Trip.com enjoyed the balcony, bathroom and adjustable air conditioning, although the accommodation did not look exactly like the photographs they expected. Their positive stay supports the suite’s practical space without making every room photograph an exact layout guarantee.

A pool complex rather than one hotel pool

The official experiences page lists five connecting pools, including a jumping pool and a 20-meter activities pool. Those specific spaces give SUNSURI a more developed water-based offering than a single pool beside a restaurant. They are a reason to spend time on the grounds even when Nai Harn Beach is part of the trip.

The same page lists two fitness rooms, Soothe Spa and the Sandbox children’s club. It describes supervised play for children over five and notes that some activities carry a fee. Complimentary bicycle rental is advertised for two hours. These are defined services and conditions, rather than a promise that every leisure activity is included throughout a stay.

The September family-suite reviewer enjoyed the pools but did not consider the slide offering equivalent to a large water park. That is a useful statement of that family’s expectations: the rooms and setting appealed, while a child primarily seeking many slides might judge the facilities differently.

The construction notice is separate from the room promise

The official website states that an independent external construction project is taking place in the vicinity and is expected to continue through the remainder of 2027. This is the hotel’s published expectation, not a verified completion date or evidence that every room and shared area has the same exposure.

A September 2026 Superior guest, Nikita Gromov on Trip.com, reported seeing the construction site from the room while still praising the stay and buggy assistance. That account establishes one visible impact; it does not establish a noise level across the property. Room position is relevant to both the outlook and the practical experience of nearby work.

SUNSURI is a clear option for guests who want spacious accommodation and enough pool and indoor facilities to spend substantial time at the resort. Its hillside journeys and current external-work notice are part of that same choice. The strongest fit is someone comfortable using buggy transport and choosing the setting for its room space and leisure facilities, rather than assuming a flat, beachfront layout.
